Culture Makers: Highlighting New Works
Celebrate the development of new work with the writers of Northlight’s High Lights program! High Lights is Northlight’s signature writing workshop, where groups of writers meet weekly to develop memoirs, poetry, essays, and fiction. Originally conceived as a community-building space for older adults during the pandemic, High Lights has since expanded to reach over 220 participants across numerous community partner organizations including the Levy Senior Center, Edgewater Village Chicago, and the Evanston Public Library. Join us after the show to hear new works from current High Lights writers and continue the conversation about creating original stories, like Brooklyn Laundry.
PANELISTS: Karen Erickson, Mina Patel, and Joanne Telser-Frere
WHEN: April 24, 2024, immediately following the 1:00 pm performance of Brooklyn Laundry
TICKETS: A ticket will be required to enter the venue beyond the Box Office vestibule area, entrance to the lobby is not permitted without a ticket. If you are attending the discussion without a ticket to Brooklyn Laundry, please fill out this form and look for a Northlight Staff Member in the lobby vestibule upon your arrival for your ticket to the discussion.
