Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau takes place in Detroit during the 2008 recession as one of the last automobile stamping plants is rumored to close. The play portrays employees on the brink of probable unemployment, facing the pressures of mortgage payments, raising children, and potential homelessness.

In a panel discussion at Curt’s Cafe, Northlight’s Artistic team will engage with community organizations to discuss the relevance of the play’s themes to Chicago’s North Shore and what we can do to make a difference.

PANELISTS:
Ivan Ramos, Director of Programs, Youth Job Center
Tracy Lawson McKeithen, Executive Director, Family Promise Chicago North Shore
Matthew Daigler, Program Manager, National Able
